Dairy Farm adjuncts X3:Job description:Dairy Farm adjuncts X3Payment: Accommodation & Paid ($50,000-$55000)Job location: Mayfield/Geraldine Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: Limited practice Necessary Listing Added: 03/06/2021 We have a large family-owned farm where we milk 1600 cows situated between Mayfield and Geraldine. To enable our staff to get a good work life balance we operate 3 teams of 3 people, due to some internal promotions and some moving around we are now in need of 3 dairy farm adjuncts to train up to be our next round of Herd Managers and Team Leaders. We want to train the next generation of dairy farmers. To enable a good work life balance, we operate on a 6/3 roster and even though our cows get milked twice a day our people only milk once a day. So, in an ideal world our staff do 3 mornings, 3 afternoons and then 3 days off. Please do not be put off applying if you have no practice, we are willing to train you in every aspect of farming so long as you come to us with a good strong work ethic, a availability to lgain and are serious about a career in the dairy industry we will do the rest. A minimum of a restricted driver’s license and being able to ride 2- and 4-wheel motorbikes are really the only expertise we need you to possess. The accommodation is a large 3-bedroom house that with recently fitted new carpet, so our 3 juniors will share this house, but Information technology is warm in the winter with a log burner and there is always plenty of free wood. We are a drug free farm, and we do random drug testing, we require you to not have a criminal record, we have a lot of young families on our farm and that is how we like it. We are good team and we often have BBQs or go to the local pub for dinner together. Sorry no pets. Renumeration depending on practice .
