About the function |M? te t?nga
The Senior Advisor Kaupapa M?ori Supervision is responsible for the continuing development, design, implementation, and management of Kaupapa M?ori supervision and practice delivery for the Departments programme facilitators and psychologists. The position holder will provide Kaupapa M?ori advice for supporting National Office Psychology & Programmes teams to move towards bi-cultural practice and to elevate Te Ao M?ori methodologies and worldviews for rehabilitation design and delivery; and for leading improvement in Bi-cultural Practice.
This is a brilliant opportunity for Somebody with a proven history of practice working in hap?, iwi, or M?ori environments, as the Kaupapa M?ori Practice team aims to provide equality of worldview through a by M?ori, for M?ori, and with M?ori perspective while aspiring for a wider bi-cultural practice approach.
Some of the function accountabilities include:
   » Work closely with other Managers and Senior Managers to support Kaupapa M?ori supervision for Programme facilitators and Psychologists
   » Advise the wider Psychology and Programmes National Office teams on Te Ao M?ori methodologies and approaches within rehabilitation programme design, training, implementation, and evaluation,
   » Provide guidance and support to lead programme design and practice that achieves wellbeing results for M?ori
   » Uptake training and become competent in Te Ara Tauwhaiti (Kaupapa M?ori cultural supervision framework) and engage in Kaupapa M?ori supervision of their own
   » Provide quality assurance of Kaupapa M?ori supervision to ensure the integrity of Te Ara Tauwhaiti is maintained,
   » Co-facilitate training with programme facilitators when mutually agreed

Some of the key expertise, practice, and attributes We are seeking for include:
   » M?ori Whakapapa,
   » Has a sound knowledge and knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how Information technology applies to Kaupapa M?ori Practice within Te Ara Poutama Aotearoa
   » Sound knowledge and practice of Te Ao M?ori, m?tauranga M?ori, Tikanga M?ori, Te Reo Maori and confident in providing Kaupapa M?ori supervision
   » Demonstrated active and broad involvement in hap?, iwi or M?ori communities
   » broad practice/training in programme facilitation, M?ori cultural supervision, counselling, social work, or other social service-related field.

Utu ?-tau | income
The mid point of the income range is $108,180 and the full range(85%-120%)is $91,953 – $129,816.Appointment and remuneration will reflect expertise and practice significant to the function.
