Position Overview: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR practitioner to join our People and Organisational Development team. This is a rare chance to make the career defining move you've been waiting for - the opportunity to put your generalist HR prowess to the test and really 'sink your teeth' in! We are looking for someone with broad experience in an advisory role to provide functional leadership, and deliver seamless business partner support to an assigned portfolio and the wider organisation. Confidence when working in Maori environments is considered desirable. Key Responsibilities: » Provide functional leadership and strategic guidance in all areas of HR, focusing on People & Organisational Development. » Partner with senior leaders to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies that support the achievement of organizational goals. » Coach and advise managers and business partners on people processes, practices, and cultural considerations. » Lead the design and implementation of talent development programs, including training and career development initiatives. » Drive employee engagement efforts through feedback mechanisms, recognition programs, and initiatives that promote a positive work culture. » Ensure compliance with HR legislation and best practices, and advise on culturally appropriate ways when working with mana whenua and Maori in general. Qualifications: » Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field; relevant tertiary qualification preferred. » Proven experience in an advisory HR role, with a focus on People & Organisational Development. » Sound understanding of HR legislation and Maori cultural values. » Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
