My client is on the lookout for a Fitter and Turner to join their team to maintain all their plant, equipment, and machinery onsite. Some of your responsibilities will be: • Ensuring all plant and equipment is maintained and in good working condition • Regular avoidance maintenance on plant and equipment to minimise servicing costs and breakdowns • Diagnosing faults, undertaking operational maintenance such as overhauling and repairing parts • Planned maintenance as required • Maintaining fitting and engineering tasks to a high standard • Assisting in creative design and construction of bespoke modifications • Installing of new plant and equipment as per drawings • Provide engineering support to approved project work as required • Ensure all machinery is safe to operate and is fitted with appropriate safety measures To be prosperous in this function: If you’re someone who wants a challenge, is a great team player and is ready to roll your sleeves up, then this function is for you. • Must have competent expertise in a wide variety of fitting expertise • Be practiced in machinery, fabrication and welding • Be a great team worker and capability to work independently • Have a high level of initiative • Demonstrate a high level of performance and be a great problem solver (in mechanical, electrical, and electronic). • Have great organisational and planning expertise • Have a minimum 3 years’ hands-on practice advantages: Enjoy a mix of benefits this organisation has to offer.
