The Information and Safety Group sits within Organisational Capcapability and Services, a branch dedicated to supporting the rest of the Department to succeed by providing corporate services that help business groups and people within DIA to make the best contribution to New Zealand. The Senior Privacy Advisor is at the forefront of promoting privacy and embedding a privacy-aware culture in the Department. You'll work closely with the Principal Advisor Privacy to help ensure our people know how to work appropriately with the personal information entrusted to them by New Zealanders. You'll provide training and guidance, monitor practices and provide expect advice. You'll have practice providing privacy advice and services. You'll also be a keen team player who makes connections and builds strong relationships. This is a new function which you'll have the opportunity to shape. As a member of a team of information management specialists you'll also have the opportunity to share ideas and participate in initiatives that extend beyond privacy.
