LinkPeople works with the most vulnerable members of our communities to access permanent, safe and affordable housing and links them to the health and social services they need to live well. We work together with a number of key organisations as part of a community-wide approach to end homelessness. We are seeking for a great people manager with a passion for wellness and recovery, to support and lead a dedicated team.
The function/ Te Turunga
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00pm. this function will be located in Manukau and involves working across South Auckland.
This is a people-focused function where your approachcapability, responsiveness and genuinely caring personality will shine. You'll work in partnership with other agencies, including our partner organisations' in the health and social services space, to develop supportive peer relationships and collaborative service delivery. You will lead a team who work alongside people who have housing needs and require support to achieve housing stcapability.
You will join a team that leads our Housing First programme which.
• Provides outreach and support to people experiencing long term homelessness
• Works alongside people to identify housing needs and supports them to access housing options
• Supports people to sustain their housing to prevent homelessness and remain well.
• Has strong relationships and collaboration within our communities.
You'll seek opportunities to engage staff through effective coaching and continuing development while creating a positive team culture where achievements are celebrated, and people are valued.

We're looking for an exceptional people leader with a significant qualification in mental health and leadership abilities or similar. A confident communicator and relationship builder, you'll quickly build credibility while showcasing your sound problem solving and conflict resolution expertise. Your capability to work at pace and flourish under pressure will be complemented by excellent attention to detail and proficiency in record keeping. You'll have knowledge of and demonstrate utmost commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and working with M?ori. Proven expertise and practice in leading prosperous projects or initiatives are preferred.
Our dedicated team will thrive under your leadership abilities, as you harness their talents in linking people to housing and other support options that meet their needs.
We are seeking for someone who has:
• Proven capability and practice in inspiring and leading a team effectively
• An knowledge of the mental health system and sector within the Auckland region, including the NGO and community sector.
• The knowledge and practice to support staff who choose to work using Te Ao Maori frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution expertise
• An knowledge of and the capability to apply the principles of wellness and recovery
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Full New Zealand driver licence
The Covid-19 Public Health (Vaccination) Order requires the full vaccination of anyone conducting high-risk work in the health and discapability sector, or who does not necessarily provide a health service but works in a function that requires frequent contact/engagement with those who do. Therefore all workers within the Wise Group are required by the Order to be vaccinated.
