Emerge Aotearoa is a Tangata Tiriti social services organisation providing a range of services to whanau, including Health and Discapability, Youth and Transitional Housing. Our kaimahi all have a common goal – helping people realise their potential with the aim of supporting whanau to live their best life as independently as possible.
He korero mo te turanga | The function
We are seeking for an effective Service Manager, to lead our Emerge Aotearoa whanau in Whakatane. You will lead a high performing ropu of Kaiwhakamahereora / mental health professionals who awhi Tangata Whai Ora within the community, residential and day programmes services.
As Emerge Aotearoa strives to honour our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, you would not only use your leadership abilitiess expertise, but also utilise your expertise of best Tikanga practices and Te Reo Maori when engaging with whanau, local iwi and hapu.
This is a full-time position, located within the Whakatane community.
He korero mou| About You
Being a natural leader and motivator, coupled with your strong cultural competency in Te Ao Maori, you will also bring the following tohu:
   » significant tertiary qualification (minimum Level 7) e.g., bachelor’s in management, nursing, social services, psychology, or at least 2 commensurate practices
   » Floor practice and be comfortable using systems and technology
   » practice working alongside whanau, hapu and iwi
   » capability to uphold Emerge Aotearoa’s core values Whakawhanaunga / Manaaki / Ako and Whakamana on all levels within the organisation internally and externally
