The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO) is Aotearoa New Zealand's busiest live event brand, presenting more than 150 concerts, education and community events every year. You'll see us on stages from Kerikeri to Invercargill and streaming online. The NZSO works with a hugely diverse range of projects, international and national touring artists spanning multiple genres.
We're looking for a new Philanthropy and Partnerships Executive and to join our lively team. Your function will be outward facing with supporters, sponsors and NZSO Foundation Trustees, curating and delivering events around our concerts (predominantly in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch) and running our annual fundraising appeals. We are seeking for a doer and a people person with excellent relationship management skills to help enhance our supporters' NZSO practices. You will be a key point of contact and NZSO Ambassador to our supporters, communicating with them directly and feed into our regular communications.
We want to hear from candidates with high quality verbal and written skills and excellent attention to detail. Systems used in this function include Tessitura (training provided), Microsoft Office products, and Wordfly and we welcome your problem-solving creativity to achieve utmost efficiency.
You need to be a great organiser and able to manage multiple projects at the same time, working with internal and external stakeholders around concerts and events.
Person Profile:
You need to have at least two years' practice in a similar function, with excellent interpersonal skills, an emphasis on digital and systems proficiency and have demonstrated skills and knowledge of:
   » Event management from curation to completion
   » Managing multiple projects at any one time and capability to prioritise to achieve deadlines
   » Working within a budget
   » Using a CRM system (Tessitura practice would be a bonus)
   » earnings reporting to feed into board reporting
   » Competence with Microsoft office packages (word, excel and power point)
   » Effective communications to support excellent relationship management
An appreciation of orchestral music and/or live events is desirable.
