Established in 2004, the Trust currently delivers music therapy sessions to approximately 625 individuals each week, either at the Auckland Centre, via our outreach and satellite programmes,or at the Hawke's Bay and Northland Regional Centres. This position is a 40 hour per week function and is located in Auckland starting in May/June 2021. Your key responsibilities include: » Delivery of individual and group music therapy sessions to clients at the Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre and in outreach locations. » To work as a member of the RMTT therapy team and contribute to the development of therapeutic services. » To adhere to the Policies and Procedures of the Raukatauri Music Therapy Trust. » To contribute to the promotion of the Trust and of music therapy in general. You will have: » At least two years music therapy practice with a variety of clinical populations. This should include work with both children and adults,and can include student placements. » practice working independently in a variety of settings in a proactive, self-directed and energetic manner. » Comfort with a variety of music therapy approaches. » practice working as part of an interdisciplinary team. » Strong oral and written communication expertise in the English language. » Registration as a music therapist in New Zealand, or the qualifications necessary to attain registration.
