Operations Manager - Step up opport!Job location:Auckland Auckland Central Work Type: Contract » » » • Large not for profit org – Health & Social Services • Step up opport, lead day to day operations! • Telephone Counselling service The Employer • Our client is a charitable trust has over 1,000 employees nationwide and provides a wonderful range of health and social services that are located on client results • A growing organisation that makes a positive impact on society! The function We are seeking for a candidate to lead the Operations of this particular Service Division that provides a 24/7 nationwide helpline and text line service, with specially trained people who listen and support the emotional and mental wellbeing of their callers and communities • Responsibilities include people leadership abilities, ie actively develop and promote direct reports to grow and take on opportunities to lead within the organisation and in the community, act as a function model, supervise recruitment and rosters (5 direct reports) • Operational management, ensuring tele-counselling service delivery, systems are in place, that service contracts are well managed and the provision of reports to senior management • Service and Financial Planning, ie participating in the Annual Plan, lead agreed objectives around the tele-counselling, annual budget planning process etc • Relationship management with key funders and stakeholders within and outside the organisation • Tangata Whenua • Health & Safety You • Will be practiced from within a complex health or social services environment (with an interest in tele-health/tele-counselling services) • Have an knowledge and practice of varying funding models, be business focused and ethical, whilst also very hands-on in approach • An Operations Manager OR a Team leader seeking a step up, familiar with staff supervision and motivation • An empathetic personality, patient, flexible and resilient • Have an appropriate tertiary qualification eg in Social Services area, Business etc Offer • A 6 month fixed term where an extension, opportunity to apply for permanent, is likely • An excellent income • Hours flexible (40 hours) eg around school drop offs or pick ups • Free onsite parking • Conveniently located in one of their Auckland city fringe office sites • Work in the house policy (after settling in period) • A Monday to Friday function • Family friendly environment • Handover • Job security (multi govt agency support) • EAP Program etc This is a great opportunity within a well-known organisation who value their staff highly!
