This requires the talent of a project manager to act as key client representative from project inception to delivery. Currently much of this work is outsourced but they are looking to bring more in house. The function will see you providing project management application from working with multiple stakeholders across planning stages including engaging with multiple use groups, design, procurement, tendering, programming and managing construction of multiple capital work refurbishments and new build commercial projects, some complex in nature and across different sites. You will be superviseing and implementing the procurement design and contractor tender processes. You will continue to manage and track design feasibilities and any design issues through to construction phase. Other function responsibilities include approval of consultants and contractors, budgets, setting programme, programme management, CAPEX reporting, managing risk, Health & Safety, cost management and variations. As a project manager, you will need to come from the construction industry either from a consultancy or client-side background with 5 - 10 + years of NZ located practice. practice and/or expertise gained within the public sector is preferred either working via a consultancy or another public sector organisation. practice in tendering and GETS (Government Electronic Tender Service) is ideal as well. A tertiary qualification in Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Building Science, or Engineering is essential. Being well organised with a proactive attitude and with excellent client/stakeholder management expertise is essential. You will be compensateed with a income between $115K and $120K depending on practice.
