Our H?pai Hapori (Community Operations) team, is at the heart of this work. We have people across the motu, and they work with hapori,hapu and iwi groups to help them understand the support and tautoko that's available and how funding can be accessed.?Evolving the lottery grants system » Community Matters
Te Puna Tahua, the Lottery Grants Board (Board) distributes circa $1.2 Billion every four years to fund communityhapu and iwi projects. Any group or hapori/community, hapu or iwi will tell you how important this is, and the difference Information technology can make for them.
The Board is working to understand the impact that funding can deliver through their three results of Social Cohesion, Community Wellbeing and Tino Rangatiratanga with hapori, Hapu, Iwi. The Board are also committed to fulfilling the promise of Te Tiriti o Waitangi as stated in their recently established Te Tiriti o Waitangi position statement.
We're looking for a Senior Advisor results – M?ori to join us and work within a team led by a Practice Lead results. It's a vital function as the Board is evolving to an results approach that is Strategy led, Data driven andlearns to better manage Lottery Grant funding.
this function would suit an practiced Senior Advisor who has operated within an results environment or similar, looking to take their next step and operate at a whole of system level.
We're looking for someone to:
   » Bring a strong knowledge of Kaupapa M?ori research, evaluation, and results to provide thought leadership abilities and advice for SeniorLeaders.
   » Work with Senior Managers and lead key pieces of workon ensuring Te Ao M?ori is central to design of strategy, and results.
   » Bring a sound knowledge of the systems and processes that underpin the operations of the public-sector environment, including Ministerial processes,accountcapability,and reporting.
   » Use effective communication expertise (written and oral) and the capability to communicate with credibility and convey information to a range ofaudiences
   » Bring a strong capability to plan, prioritise and reprioritise own work and understand connections across team andorganisation
   » Foster whanaungatanga, build rapport and credibility with internal stakeholders and maintain strongrelationships.
   » Provide support to the wider branch on key pieces of work delivering results for M?ori.
Support the PracticeLeadto:
   » Create and deliver multi-year outcome-locatedstrategiesembedding te ao M?ori – M?ori worldview.
   » Engage a range of stakeholders from Board through to community, hap?, iwi in developing and accessing Kaupapa M?ori outcome approaches and models.
   » Analyse and present options located on data and evaluationresults
   » Develop strategic options and leading decisioning panels focusing on results, priorities andtrade-offs
   » Manage a programme ofactivity
   » Manaaki and tautoko the members of Te Puna Tahua
Knowledge of te ao M?ori and how best to tailor approaches for knowledge aspirations of hapori is essential.
The prosperous kaimahi will report to the Practice Lead results in the Te Waka Aukaha Business group but be dedicated to H?pai Hapori. That way you will be at the heart of the action and have the support of the wider Planning Governance and Support team.
