Looking for casual gallery adjunct:Job description:Job detailsOrganisation Jhana Millers Gallery Closes 4 Jul 2021 Posted on 18 Jun 2021 Region Wellington Work type Casual employment Work classification Visual Arts ShareJhana Millers gallery is growing and We are seeking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, efficient,and skilled person to assist with exhibition installation and promotion, and other general gallery tasks.This is a casual, or contracted, position, with potential for growth and for the position to become permanent part-time. The gallery is a young dynamic business with varying commitments over the 4-week turnaround of exhibitions, so We are seeking for Somebody with time flexibility, who is self-motivated, efficient, and has particular technical expertise. The key techinical expertise We are seeking for are: - Exhibition installation and de-installation practice - Photography practice in order to photograph artworks and exhibitions - practice with Adobe Indesign and Photoshop in order to edit images for print, email and web and to prepare catalogues of works You will also be required to assist with covering annual leave, front of house tasks, engaging and communicating with clients, assisting with openings, cleaning, stock management, social media marketing and other general gallery tasks. Hours will vary week to week, and month to month, depending on the exhibition schedule - sometimes 25 hours a week and other times there may be no work in a given week. So this position would suit someone who is flexible and perhaps has another irregularjob, or anartist or freelancer looking for casual work.
