Farm adjunct:Job description:Farm adjunctPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($25)Job location: Ashburton Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 20/04/2022 We are seeking for a Farm adjunct to join our team of two for the 2022/23 season. We milk 650 cows through a 50 bail rotary. Information technology has in shed feeding, cup removers and animal management using Allflex collars and drafting gate. Irrigation is predominantly pivot with a small amount of k line and sprinklers. Effluent is also put out through the pivots. The candidates core responsibilities will include: Milking Shed hygiene Help with calf Rearing Fencing Weed control Lameness identification The position is a new function due to the growing workload of a support block. Because of this, there will be a variety of work not limited to the dairy unit, including some ag work, young stock management and other general farm tasks.
