About the College
The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) is a not-for-profit organisation responsible for the training, assessment and continuing professional development of emergency physicians as well as the advancement of professional standards in emergency medicine in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Position
We have a great opportunity for an practiced Project manager who is passionate about health, health equity and working for an organisation with a purpose.
We are currently seeking a Project Lead, Indigenous Health to join the College.The function sits within our Indigenous Health Unitand will be responsible for leading the delivery of ACEM's Te Rautaki Manaaki Manna M?ori Health Equity Strategy, Pacific Health Plan Proposal, and supporting the wider work of the Indigenous Health Unit.
This is an integral function as the work of the Unit is guided by ACEM's Indigenous Health Committee, Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and Te Rautaki Manaaki Mana, with strong Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and M?ori Fellow, trainee and community member representation. ACEM has made a commitment to achieving equity for M?ori patients, their wh?nau, and staff in New Zealand Emergency Departments through Te Rautaki Manaaki Mana: Excellence in Emergency Care for M?ori. The vision of this strategy is that emergency departments will provide excellent, culturally safe care to M?ori, in an environment where M?ori patients, wh?nau and staff feel valued, and where leaders actively seek to eliminate inequities.
In supporting the Manager, Indigenous Health with the work of the Unit, the key responsibilities for this function include:
   » superviseing the implementation of ACEM's Te Rautaki Manaaki Mana: Excellence in Emergency Care for M?ori, including monitoring and reporting of actions against
   » Scoping the development of an ACEM Pacific Health Plan with the purpose of coordinating a set of recommendations to the ACEM Board for facilitating Pacific Peoples health equity in Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia.
   » Support the Manaaki Mana R?pu (Steering Group), Indigenous Health Committee and Pacific Peoples Health Working Group, and other working groups as required, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation, minute taking and progressing meeting
 
We are pursuing a candidate with tertiary qualifications in health or social sciences, have a demonstrated knowledgeofthe healthcare systems inAotearoaNewZealand and practice in effective engagement with M?ori and Pacifika communities. In addition, we seek candidates with project management practice, excellent planning, time management, and consultative expertise and well-developed writtencommunication.
This is a full-time, permanent position located in Wellington,Aotearoa New Zealand.
