Tantalus Estate, located in Onetangi, on the picturesque Waiheke Island, just a 35-minute ferry from downtown Auckland. Is seeking  Pastry Chefs, Chef de Partie and Kitchen Porters

Pastry Chefs
prosperous Pastry Chefs candidates will have practice in a similar position. The pay rate for the position will be assessed on the practice and qualification of each applicant. The wage bracket for this position is between $25.00 - $31.00 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours a week. tasks include, but are not limited to:
   » Menu execution
   » Assisting in dish creation
   » Inventory and ingredient cost management
   » Assisting in the developing and mentoring of the kitchen teams
   » Collaborating with other departments
   » Maintaining hygiene and health and safety practices
   » The promotion of good work ethics and values
   » Keep your work section clean and tidy
   » Ensure complete ordering for section
   » Excellent time management expertise and capability to multitask
   » capability to handle pressure and high-stress situation
Chef de Partie
prosperous Chef de Partie candidates will have practice in a similar position. The pay rate for the position will be assessed on the practice and qualification of each applicant. The wage bracket for this position is between $24.00 - $29.00 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours a week. tasks include, but are not limited to:
   » Menu execution
   » Been responsible for your section
   » Ensure mise en place list is completed with significant notes for hand over to the next chef
   » Assisting with training of commis, demi chefs 
   » Assisting in dish creation
   » Inventory and ingredient cost management
   » Maintaining hygiene and health and safety practices
   » The promotion of good work ethics and values
   » Keep your work section clean and tidy
   » Ensure complete ordering for section
   » capability to work in a team
   » Excellent time management expertise and capability to multitask
   » capability to handle pressure and high-stress situation
   » Maintain compliance standards, including taking temperature checks
Kitchen Porters  
prosperous Kitchen Porter candidates will have practice in a similar position. The pay rate for the position will be assessed on the practice of each applicant. The wage bracket for this position is between $22.00 - $25.50 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours a week. tasks include, but are not limited to:
   » Following the guidance of the Head Chef and/or Sous chef(s) and communicating any concerns, questions, or uncertainty in a timely manner
   » Ensuring all equipment, crockery, and cutlery are cleaned and sanitized. Any cracked or broken items are reported and disposed of safely 
   » Ensuring extra tasks allocated are achieved in a timely manner and are observed by Head Chef or Sous Chef(s)
   » Ensuring external rubbish collection area is kept clean and sanitized on a everyday basis
   » Maintaining the Food Control Plan Cleaning and Maintenance Schedules as per cycles stated on the plan 
   » Ensuring all significant waste is disposed of according to our Recycling Plan.
   » Checking all supplies received for correct delivery temperatures, packing slips correspond with the order received
