They are involved in a wide variety of medium and heavy engineering industries and the manager will take responsibility to manage a team of up to 4 tradespeople and apprentices. This person will work closely with the other factory supervision staff to ensure the smooth running of their large workshop. The function To supervise and coordinate the day-to-day work activities of the machine shop. Assist the company wherever possible to ensure employees, clients and visitors comply with the company’s health, safety and environmental policies and procedures always. expertise & practice • Hold a Mechanical trade qualifications, as recognised in Australia/New Zealand by the significant authorities. • Holds and maintains a current class 1 motor vehicles drivers licence • Conduct him/herself in a manner that always reflects the company’s core values • Able to supervise a small team professionally and appropriately • Be able to work unsupervised • Attentive to detail and accuracy • Excellent verbal and written communications expertise • Excellent organisational and time management expertise • Strong problem-solving expertise • Self-motivated and availability to lgain new things.
