About our group and team The Provider Assurance Group (PAG) is a key part of Early Learning Operations and Funding, within the Sector Enablement and Support Group in the Ministry. Our key areas of focus are the following: » The avoidance and detection of financial mismanagement and fraud in the early learning sector » Building sector capcapability and partnering with the sector to strengthen financial management practices » Providing confidence to the Ministry, sector and public that funding is used appropriately About this function The Provider Assurance Group is a new function at the Ministry. As such you will be excited about being part of a leadership abilities team that is responsible for building a unique and prosperous capcapability from the ground up. The Principal Advisor, Data and Insight is critical to the Provider Assurance Group’s success. You will identify, collect, prepare, and analyse data from multiple sources (internal and external) and provide insight that guides the teams activities. You will also seek out, build, and maintain key relationships and actively look for new data points that can support our wider activities. About you To be prosperous you will need as follows: » An capability to derive true insight from a diverse set of data inputs that will guide and inform our financial analysis and investigative efforts » Proven capability to interpret and present data in a clear, consistent, significant manner to multiple end-users » Proven practice as a Principal or Senior data analyst » practice with data analysis tools (e.g. SAS) » Analytical mind and business acumen » Strong math expertise (e.g., statistics, algebra) » Problem-solving aptitude » Excellent communication and presentation expertise » Significant relationship building including liaising with, communicating to, consulting with, and influencing stakeholders » capability to convey abstract and/or complex ideas in clear, practical terms, tailored for the audience » Resilience to deal with pressure Are you ready to make a difference?
