Be able to influence change at a strategic and operational level that will improve results for young people? We have a great opportunity for a Senior Advisor, focused on housing solutions to join our Youth Service team, located in Wellington. The Senior Advisor supports the National Manager by way of focusing on the design, development and implementation of standards and best practices for the Youth Service. This will be achieved at a strategic level through a mix of proactive and reactive responses and solutions with internal and external stakeholders. The function is highly collaborative, and you will need the confidence and proven capability to develop and manage relationships at all levels across the Ministry, other Government agencies and external providers. You will demonstrate the capability to work at pace to deliver smart solutions to complex problems and provide pragmatic and effective advice. As a Senior Advisor you will: » Understand the key strategic issues facing Youth Service and Government in regarding to public housing » Excellent communication expertise with a passion for delivering robust solutions » Have a proven capability to work collaboratively and responsively in both government and non-government settings » Contribute to and support on a broad range of projects / initiatives and key actions as part of the Youth Service work programme, providing strategic and operational advice » Provide input to identify issues that may impact on wider work programmes and delivery » Have proven practice delivering quality work to tight deadlines If this sounds like you, we will welcome your application.
