We are seeking for an practiced professional to join our fast-paced and highly motivated Inquiry Facilitation team as a Senior Facilitator.
Senior Facilitators provide leadership abilities and in-depth technical knowledge to support effective inquiry planning and the high-quality delivery of a large programme of complex commission of inquiry work. They lead the facilitation of inquiry proceedings and are relied upon for sound judgement, robust advice and excellent communication by wide a range of stakeholders including the judiciary, Tribunal members, claimants and their counsel.
Your excellent planning, project and relationship management expertise will contribute to your success in this exciting and challenging function. Accomplished analytical expertise are required for you to provide authoritative advice to Presiding agents and Tribunal panels all over inquiry proceedings on complex evidential and procedural matters. As a senior member of the team, you will provide positive function-modelling, mentoring and quality assurance. You will also lead productive collaboration with colleagues across the Unit.

   » Excellent relationship management expertise
   » Proven practice in prosperous project leadership abilities across a complex inquiry-type programme
   » A talent for mentoring and supporting others
   » The capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with multiple work streams
   » A tertiary qualification in New Zealand history, M?ori Studies, public policy, law or other significant discipline, and preferably a post-graduate degree or significant professional practice
   » An knowledge of, and commitment to, the work of the Waitangi Tribunal
   » An knowledge of te reo, tikanga and m?tauranga M?ori would be beneficial

The appointing income for this function will be between $84,366 - $110,172 located on expertise and practice.
candidates must also submit a writing sample of academic or professional work. The writing sample should be between approximately 10 - 20 pages in length.
