Maritime Museum is committed to creating a rich and varied calendar of public programmes which includes complimentary programmes for temporary exhibitions, regular family programmes, one-off events and on-water practices for the diverse communities of T?maki Makaurau.

The function of the Public Programmes Team is to bring the museum's collections, exhibitions and stories to life, creating memorable and engaging practices all over the year onsite, on the water and off site.

Reporting to the Public Programmes Manager, the Public Programmes Coordinator will assist with the development of the public programmes calendar and will be responsible for the delivery of the agreed calendar within budget and time frame.

You'll coordinate the public programming and activities that engage our communities, working collegiately with teams across the Museum and wider stakeholders.

We're looking for an exceptional individual with a strong background in coordinating programme delivery. This could include talks, performances, lectures, dance, film, workshops, youth and holiday activities, events, interactions and tours for diverse audiences in a Museum, arts or gallery context.

You'll be creative, highly organised, with excellent communication expertise and attention to detail.

A full driver's license is a requirement.

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours Monday to Friday. Please note this function includes some evening and weekend work, which may include public holidays as required to deliver the programmes.
