Wai a Te T??, M?ori and Indigenous Research Centre is a multi-disciplinary kaupapa M?ori research team at Te Whare W?nanga o Wairaka, Unitec. Established in February 2019, Ng? Wai a Te T?? aims to lead transformative and innovative M?ori and Indigenous research that contributes to te puna m?tauranga at Te Whare W?nanga o Wairaka and wider communities. Through collaborative partnerships, Ng? Wai a Te T?? engages in multi-disciplinary kaupapa M?ori research that seeks to advance and respond to contemporary issues within society that supports the flourishing of wh?nau, hap?, iwi, marae and M?ori communities. Te ?heinga: The opportunity As a Senior M?ori Postgraduate Advisor, you will join the Ng? Wai a Te T?? team where you will be responsible for the following: » Ensuring M?ori student success ‘as M?ori’ at the postgraduate level » Supporting all programmes offering postgraduate study, by providing much needed kaupapa M?ori research teaching and supervision skills » Primarily supporting M?ori students wishing to utilise a kaupapa M?ori research methodology by providing co-managery capacity with that skills. » Assisting students to navigate postgraduate studies including ethical and cultural considerations, and support those students in becoming part of the M?ori and Indigenous emerging research community » Providing advice to other staff on kaupapa M?ori research methodology and on M?ori research in general Please see the Lecturer position description with addendum for more details.
