This opportunity would provide you with the chance to work on significant builds and work within a small but practiced commercial team with a high degree of learning involved. The function is to develop, maintain and control budgets for two significant high end apartment projects located in Parnell and Remuera. This developer are looking for a QS with strong sub contractor management expertise and can achieve best returns. The function: » Analysis of contractual documents, budgets, estimates and subcontractor quotations » Review of contract terms and conditions ensuring contractual adherence and protection of risk » Negotiating favourable results with clients, subcontractors and suppliers » Risk management and problem solving » Assessing payment claims and variations » Measuring, estimating and valuing variation claims » Establishing rates from first principles » Compiling and submission of variation claims » Monthly cost reporting and accurate cost forecasting » Managing relationships with clients and key project stakeholders Your background: » At least 4 years practice working in a main contractor » Tertiary qualified in quantity surveying » Broad practice in Contract Administration and Estimating functions, practice working with Developers would be advantageous » Strong attention to detail, self-motivated and a high availability to learn » capability to establish positive working relationships with colleagues, contractors, consultants and clients salary: $90K - $140K pending practice.
