About the function | M? te t?ranga Our team is growing, and We are seeking for an Audio Describer to make media accessible by creating audio description for Aotearoa's TV and film. Audio description helps to make the magic of television and film accessible for over 180,000 Kiwis who are blind, deafblind, or low-vision. As an Audio Describer, you will work on content for New Zealand's leading broadcasters, including TVNZ and Discovery, by providing a spoken narration woven around the television programme dialogue. This helps blind viewers to picture the on screen action, body language, facial expressions and scene locations. About Able | M? We are pursuing candidates with a superior command of English and the written word, with a focus on accuracy and a flair for creativity. Previous practice in writing, such as scriptwriting or creative writing, would be desirable. To be considered for the function, you will need to have a strong, clear and articulate speaking voice. A background in professional voicing, voice training, or recording practice will help you excel in this function. A tertiary degree or similar is preferable. Full training will be provided.
