   » Internal and external vulnercapability testing

   » Contribution to information security strategy
   » Timely and accurate technical advice
   » Providing information security training
   » System and application security risk assessments
   » Design and implement Information technology security initiatives
   » Identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities to an acceptable level of risk
   » Stay current on Information technology security trends, threats and detection/avoidance technologies
   » Review system and infrastructure change requests to ensure security best practices are followed
   » Produce clear documentation related to security policies and procedures
   » Advise projects on Information technology security risk and mitigation actions that complies with the organisation’s information security policies
   » Gather feedback from end users to continue to improve systems
   » Assist the engineering team in keeping the company's security systems up to date and fit for purpose
   » Maintain incident response and disaster recovery plans
   » Conducting security assessments through vulnercapability testing and risk analysis
   » Performing both internal and external security audits
   » Analysing security breaches to identify the root cause and identify actions to reduce the risk reoccurrence
   » Verifying the security of third-party vendors and working with them to ensure they can meet the organisations security requirements
   » Assess existing security systems and processes and recommend changes as the business needs and security threats
   » Assist with the installation, updating and testing of security systems
   » Test and evaluate new security solutions and technologies
   » Security Incident management
   » Installing security software
   » Investigate and report on security breaches and cyber security incidents
   » Improving the cyber security consciousness of the organisations staff
   » Provision of security training and education for ICS staff
   » Develops strong rapport with a cross section of departments
   » Demonstrates capability to communicate complex information and overcome barriers to knowledge specialised information from different user groups
   » Can respectfully challenge current state to ensure business process improvements occur from the implementation of TrakCare
   » Utilise negotiating, influencing and persuading expertise when dealing with third party suppliers
   » Work closely with Intersystems to understand and influence the product roadmap of TrakCare’s New Zealand edition
   » Act as an advocate for the departments within ICS and to third party vendors.
You:
   » A tertiary qualification in Information Systems (or equivalent practice)
   » Information security certifications
   » Vendor specific qualifications e.g. Cisco, CheckPoint, Fortinet
   » 3-5 years’ practice in a Security Analyst function or similar carrying out penetration testing
   » Vulnercapability scanning and formulating action plans to mitigate the vulnerabilities identified
   » The management and maintenance of firewalls, antivirus and other security solutions (Fortinet practice preferred)
   » Installation of security software and documenting security issues
   » Writing of technical documentation including security related policies and procedures
   » Information security related auditing
   » Patch management and the deployment of patches in a timely manner while knowledge business impacts
   » Designing and deployment of Information technology security systems
   » Security incident root cause analysis
   » Provision of security education and training
