Job Offer: Senior Advisor:MinEducationJob description:Job DescriptionThe Performance and Quality team provides support to Learning Support services all over the Hawke’s Bay / Tair?whiti region. The Learning Support team is made up of 60+ practitioners and managers located in our Napier and Gisborne offices. We work with colleague’s right across the Ministry, supporting regional performance and quality to identifying opportunities to improve results for all learners.We have a great opportunity available for an practiced person to work closely with our practitioners and managers to allocate resources to support students with additional learning support needs ensuring that systems support the efficient and effective use of resources. The Senior Advisor also supports the delivery of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) initiatives across the region. These are designed to help parents, wh?nau, teachers, early childhood centres and schools to address behaviour, improve children’s well-being and increase educational achievement. The prosperous applicant will have: » a significant tertiary qualification or significant significant practice » practice managing internal operating budget processes as well as finances and resources » demonstrated capability to build strong working relationships and effective networks with key internal and external stakeholders » high level of conceptual and analytical capcapability » capability to develop innovative and effective solutions to complex and diverse problems » strong written and oral communication expertise » excellent attention to detail and time management » advanced practice in using Microsoft office applications i.e. Word and Excel.
