The New Zealand Library Partnership Programme (NZLPP) is working to strengthen the vital function of New Zealand Libraries as community hubs that support life-long learning, reading, digital literacy and easy access to information and knowledge.
We're in need of a Manager to lead the initiation, development and implementation of the NZLPP sustaincapability work programme to deliver strategic initiatives that will support the sector sustaincapability post COVID-19 recover and relief funding.
   » Set the direction and lead the connected strategic initiatives in a scope of the NZLPP programme
   » Maintain an overview of the work programme to ensure Information technology remains aligned to the overall programme goals and delivers mutual benefits to the sector
   » Support sector strategic partnership to deliver prosperous results through NZLPP funded initiatives
At the Department of Internal Affairs, the work we do makes Information technology possible for community groups and charities to not only access funding, but also to lgain the best way to manage themselves to be as effective as possible.
The National Library sits within the Information and Knowledge Services branch, the Department's epicentre of information management, culture and heritage. Our branch is all about collecting, storing and preserving important things that are precious to New Zealand.
The Manager, Strategic Partnerships utilise their leadership abilities and library sector skills to lead, supervise and manage the initiation, development and delivery of the NZLPP sustaincapability initiatives.
They will provide high-quality advice to programme leadership abilities and key stakeholders alike to ensure results are informed by a sound knowledge of library services and the diverse environments they operate within.
Key Competencies:
   » Strategic planning and priority setting including the capability to use judgement on controversial or critical issues
   » Advanced relationship management skills including the capability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders
   » Well-developed people, financial and operational leadership abilities and management skills
