At Oranga Tamariki – Ministry for Children, our goal is to establish a multiagency approach to protect and care for New Zealand’s tamariki and rangatahi. We are excited for a Tagata Pasifika Workplace Administrator to join our Pasifika Specialist team. this function is to support a team of Pasifika Specialists to complete preventative and ground breaking work for vulnerable Pasifika families within the Marlborough region. this function is an opportunity to change the tide for our Pasifika families. The function is heavily administrative with the opportunity to develop. This is a fast paced and compensateing function. If you have a heart for Pasifika people in relation to making a difference in the lives of tamaiti and their family, then we want to hear from you. What are we looking for? To be prosperous in this function (but not limited to), you will need to have practice in working with disengaged and challenging whanau. You will need to have the following: » A heart to serve and not to be served » availability to be coached at all times and a passion for learning » Administrative practice would be advantageous » Great engagement expertise » Compassion, empathy and a genuine interest in making a positive difference within Pasifika communities » Initiative to work independently as well as part of a team » The capability to overcome barriers to engagement and are comfortable working in difficult and challenging environments » Full driver’s licence Purpose of the function: » To work alongside the Pasifika Specialist team » Supporting the team with the organisation of hui’s and training » To assist the Pasifika Specialist team in Administrative tasks where required » To support the delivery of tailored initiatives for specific Pasifika groups in the community » To support the community to access services and appointments when required How to apply?
