The team works collaboratively with students, parents/caregivers and family/wh?nau, schools and other agencies to provide comprehensive ecological wraparound plans for the student to achieve success at home and in their local community. For information about the Intensive Wraparound Service please refer tohttp://www.education.govt.nz/school/student-support/special-education/int ensive-wraparound-service-iws/ If you are a person who enjoys working with a collaborative team of people who support children, young people and their whanau; enjoy a challenge and are creative and innovative then this is the job for you. this function will see you assisting the National Manager, Te Kahu T??, Intensive Wraparound Service in: » Providing of high quality, culturally and professionally safe learning support services that are responsible to local needs but consistent with the national framework » Contributing to the development and implementation of strategies to build the capcapability, enhance practice and improve educational results within the region » Ensuring professional leadership abilities is available to staff and other people responsible for the provision of services to children a nd young people with learning support needs and ensures all staff are provided effective and timely professional practice support » Contributing to the effective management and allocation of Learning Support funding for school/early childhood located initiatives and paraprofessional support This position will be located in one of the following areas: Nelson, Blenheim, Dunedin and Invercargill. You will be required to travel to provide service all over the Education Regions.
