The service provides specialist cardiology services across the Bay of Plenty (Tauranga and Whakat?ne Hospitals) which includes access to Interventional Cardiology services for elective and acute service delivery.You will be joining a team of seven cardiologists all who have subspecialist interests and expertise and participate in both elective and acute workloads. The team provides an acute cardiology service for inpatient care - alongside other specialist cardiology services, i.e. cardiac implantable devices, diagnostics, and PCI. If you are interested in joining a service which is in a growth and innovation phase to meet the needs of a growing population in one of the most beautiful regions in New Zealand - this may be the opportunity that you are looking for. We are seeking to recruit a Physician who is interested in working with us to develop responsive ways of meeting the needs of people accessing care at the two hospitals serving the Bay of Plenty population. To meet this vision the ideal candidate will have practice in working in a culturally diverse setting and has proven expertise in contributing to services which have evolved to meet the needs of patients, wh?nau/family and the wider community through an integrated service model of care. In addition, we seek an individual who is has the expertise to foster a learning culture across undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff, with the support of the BOP Clinical School and the University of Auckland. The Cardiology service is credentialed for advanced training programme and actively involved in supporting research and innovation as part of the training programme. this function is suited to someone who is enthusiastic around service improvement and working in new ways as part of a multidisciplinary team.
