Te Papa is seeking two Learning Specialists/Learning Specialists Kaupapa M?ori: Sector Capcapability to support educators working in the culture and heritage sector. These functions will contribute to the design, development and delivery of an broad learning programme for the culture and heritage sector. You will empower the sector to work with school and kura in a range of ways drawing on best practice and enable them to be more responsive in a post-COVID world. One of these functions will have strengths in education in the culture and heritage space and the other function will have strengths in designing and delivering online learning programmes for adult learners. Together, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a range of learning programmes that include webinar series, in-depth online courses and supporting a mentorship programme.
These functions are full time (40 hours) fixed term contract to 30 December 2022 to help Te Papa deliver the Te P? Tiaki Mana Taonga | Association of educators beyond the classroom project. We will consider applications from people who are interested in part-time positions who may want to combine this work with existing part-time functions. This is an ideal secondment opportunity for someone in the culture and heritage sector and the prosperous candidates can be located anywhere around Aotearoa New Zealand.

   » passionate and talented kaiako or educators who engage learning and technology to make a real difference to the organisations and communities you work with.
   » Capcapability, knowledge and knowledge of Te Ao M?ori, specifically concepts of Mana Taonga and how this works practically in museum settings.
   » strength in designing and delivering programmes for adult learners while knowledge the requirements of Te Wh?riki, New Zealand Curriculum and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa
   » deep practice in designing and delivering online learning programmes
   » educators who enjoys co-designing and co-facilitating programmes with colleagues and the sector
   » strong knowledge of the culture and heritage sectors
   » lifelong learners with a growth mindset who enjoys creative problem solving. You enjoy developing new programmes and products, and you believe in testing ideas and experimenting. Team players with great ideas and the expertise to bring them to life.
Fluency in Te Reo M?ori, confidence in tikanga M?ori and the capability to deliver programmes in Te Reo M?ori would be an advantage.

Te Papa is delivering this project for Te P? Tiaki Mana Taonga | The Association of educators beyond the classroom. The funding has been received from the Ministry of Culture and Heritage Capcapability Fund.
All candidates must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
The income range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000. Offers will be made within the range to reflect the expertise and practice offered by the candidate and those required of the function, and internal relativities with other employees
