This position is full time, fixed term and would be appropriate for an practiced or a newly qualified specialist. There may be the opportunity for a permanent position at the end of this tenure.The prosperous applicant would join to two other Nephrologist providing services to the MidCentral region. The position involves the provision of general Nephrology inpatient and outpatient services. Information technology also involves supervision of dialysis patients both home modalities (which is the focus of our service) and in-centre dialysis patients. There is also opportunity to be involved with the education of junior doctors as well as research opportunities. Nephrology is supported by a multispecialty practice that includes a strong Internal Medicine Line, Cardiology, Haematology, Oncology, Rheumatology etc. candidates must be eligible for vocational registration in Internal Medicine with Nephrology scope of practice with the Medical Council of New Zealand with specialist training / qualification in Nephrology , as well as having demonstrated clinical, management, and teaching expertise and the capability to work effectively within the multi-disciplinary team.
