Reducing the incidence and severity of injuries for M?ori is a strategic priority for ACC and one of the many ways we help to improve M?ori access, practice and results every day. ACC is increasing its investment in M?ori focussed injury avoidance activities together with implementing an ambitious injury avoidance strategy.
We have a great newly-created opportunity to join as our M?ori Community Mobilisation Lead, that sits within our Strategic Investment team. this function will provide M?ori leadership abilities to lead the design and implementation of avoidance and community mobilisation programmes and lead end to end design through to delivery working along alongside hap?, iwi and communities.
The M?ori Community Mobilisation Lead will work collaboratively with the wider Injury avoidance team and work in partnership with the Healthy Consensual Relationships team, the M?ori Injury avoidance team, and the wider Customer Solutions group to provide kaupapa M?ori and culturally responsive design leadership abilities as part of a cohesive, integrated programme of work.
Some of the important mahi you will be involved in the following:
   » Use your knowledge of whole system approaches to contribute to cross-government opportunities, relationships and connections that will benefit M?ori tamariki and whanau
   » Develop, enable and manage key partnerships within a portfolio to understand the key Maori customer priority areas within a primary avoidance system, to ensure delivery of design against the right priorities in the right way

   » Proven practice in prosperously leading and delivering integrated and strategically aligned M?ori work programmes
   » Good knowledge of Te Reo M?ori and tikanga with a deep knowledge of M?ori culture, values, political and social systems
   » An excellent communicator with strong relationship management expertise across a wide variety of stakeholders, gaining their trust and respect
