We have one permanent position vacant for an Education Advisor Maori Medium located in our Hamilton office. Education Advisor Maori Medium – Schooling This brokering function is a key interface for a portfolio of kura and/or Kahui Ako. Information technology involves supporting kura and Kahui Ako to develop and implement strategies to lift student achievement which can involve leadership abilities, management, governance, teaching, curriculum delivery, monitoring and assessment, network provision, student engagement, or community involvement. The prosperous candidate will be great at: » building prosperous relationships with a range of groups and individuals » working with data and information to identify issues and come up with solutions to deal with complex problems and make decisions » leading and working with others to support and implement change initiatives. Ideally, prosperous candidates will need to have a core knowledge and knowledge of the New Zealand education system and significant legislation and applicable criteria. practice with kura Maori, Maori communities, cultural competency and capability in te reo maori me ona tikanga is necessary. The capability to work across a wider discipline of work across the wider ministry teams, along with a significant tertiary qualification is desirable. The income range will be $80,000 – $90,000.
