About us
Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, creates and supports safe, healthy, inspiring and ICT enabled learning environments. EIS manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,100 schools with a book value of $18.3 billion, is responsible for the largest payroll in the country, and transports over 100,000 students to and from school each day.
Capital Works manages the planning and delivery of major redevelopments, new builds and infrastructure upgrades for New Zealand schools as part of the Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), one of the largest property portfolios in New Zealand.

About the function
The Delivery Manager supervises a group of capital projects (building construction) following and work within Ministry and EIS policy, procedures , and guidelines. The Delivery Managers are responsible for developing effective relationships and trust with schools and other internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that consultants are working effectively and efficiently to deliver school infrastructure projects on time, to budget and to scope as set out in the project brief.

   » Management of end to end school building construction projects in a fast paced and complex portfolio
   » Stakeholder relationship management with a diverse group of stakeholders
   » Problem solving and collaboration to deliver great results with maximum impact

About you
You are an practiced Project Manager with significant construction knowledge, and a strong track record of using project management methodologies and organisational processes to achieve efficient results, manage risks and implement lessons learnt. You will also have practice of full end to end project management from business case to completion of the project.
You relish the opportunity to shape how we work to help us provide the best learning environments for New Zealand’s future generations, and can hit the ground running in this critical function in Capital Works.
