The Organisation
Our client is a large charitable trust that undertakes, promotes, advances and funds research, evidence-located practice and education; high quality and safe pharmaceutical therapies through clinical trial research being their aim. I am looking for a Pharmacist who is extremely passionate about research work. This organization does a lot of commercial research as well as investigator initiated grants across 23 departments so if you wish to be a part of this organization, I would love to hear from you!

The Position
   » To be the designated point of contact for the clinical trial unit for all matters pertinent to pharmacy services.
   » To co-ordinate pharmacy services pertaining to clinical trials requiring pharmacy department support.
   » Assist with pharmacy practiccapability questions and provide on-going support for clinical trials conducted in MMCT • Lead the unblinded team for the unblinded Clinical Trials
   » Manage the Drug Room ambient and fridge temperature monitoring system.
   » To order, dispense and ensure timely and accurate supply of clinical trials medicines, including stock control of Sponsor provided IP in MMCT Drug Room.
   » To be responsible for the management of the inventory for clinical investigational drug trials; orders, replaces and returns study drug as required
   » To be responsible for the reliable supply of compounded mediations as required for clinical trials.
   » To ensure departmental SOP’s in relation to clinical trials are adhered to in all aspects and all work is carried out within the significant legal frameworks and regulations.
   » To ensure all financial activities are accounted for in relation to clinical trials in liaison with the Accountant i.e. all invoices sent on a monthly basis and accounts reviewed/reconciled on a monthly basis.
   » To ensure accurate and timely quotations are provided for potential clinical trial business.
   » To develop significant clinical trials protocols as required.
 
You
   »  A NZ Registered Pharmacist with current registrations
   »  Minimum 2 years current (or very recent) practice in order to have the latest clinical safety expertise, excellent oral and written communication expertise, and an capability to manage pressure to meet varied trial deadlines.
   »  A confident computer user (MS Word, Excel basics, Outlook), you will enjoy the predominantly phone/data/administrative mix of the function as well as the approx 20% face to face with your trial participants (the patients)
   »  Proactive and able to think on the feet
   »  Good with people expertise
 
The Package Paid fortnightly, an excellent income is available, plus bonus; a 40 hour week Monday to Friday starting at 7am or 8am (example a 3.30pm finish, ideal for school pick-ups?), close proximity to public transport, opportunities for further career advancement, on the job training and orientation as research practice is not required.
