We are strengthening our Climate Group to ensure the prosperous delivery of ourclimate change work programme, which is focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to a changing climate.
We are seeking for a number of practiced Analysts and Senior Analysts to support our market assurance and governance work programme for the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS). The ETS is the core pillar of the government’s climate change mitigation response, and billions of dollars are traded annually.
Key areas of focus of the function include:
   » Enhancing ETS market assurance and governance framework and processes
   » Analysing ETS market information to provide significant risk insight
   » Producing timely and significant management information regarding ETS operations
As a SeniorAnalyst, you will also provide thought leadership abilities, coordination, and technical leadership abilities for projects. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior members of the team to build capcapability.
As an Analyst , you will be supported by highly skilled senior members of the team. They will share their skills to broaden your skills and provide coaching and mentoring to ensure you have the right support to thrive in the function.

These functions present an opportunity to transfer and apply your commercial practice and help shape Aotearoa New Zealand’s response to climate change.
We are seeking for people with practice in assurance and governance who can deliver quality work in a fast-paced environment. Your background may be in operational risk, regulatory governance, process assurance, management accounting or financial analysis.
You will have a collaborative approach, strong stakeholder engagement skills with the capability to quickly build credibility and trust across diverse groups.
You will also bring:
   » an knowledge of governance and assurance of financial products, or regulatory or financial operational risk practice
   » an knowledge of market conduct/misconduct risk and general risk assurance principles and frameworks
   » an interest in market economics, market behaviour and market analysis
   » strong communication skills with the capability to deliver insights to technical and non-technical audiences
   » advanced Microsoft skills
   » project management skills, with the capability to identify and manage risks
   » an agile approach, with a desire to make a difference
   » commitment to developing your cultural capcapability and capacity in te ao M?ori.
Wh?nuitanga Utu ?-Tau | income range
Analyst : $77,280 to $93,565 / Senior Analyst: $105,802 to $128,424 pa.Appointment within the range will be located on skills and practice.
