Job Opportunity: Lamb Rearers - Sheep Milking Farm:Job description:Lamb Rearers - Sheep Milking FarmPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($22)Job location: Te Awamutu Region: Waikato/Coromandel practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 16/05/2022 We are seeking for a number of Lamb Rearers to join our close-knot team on our family-owned Sheep Milking farm, located just 5 minutes from Te Awamutu, in the Waikato. Lamb rearing practice is not required as training will be given. However, passion and empathy towards animals is key. Information technology is hard physical work so you must be prepared for a challenge, but Information technology is compensateing and fun. You will need to enjoy animals, working outdoors and be able to work with other people. This will be a fast-paced, intense lambing season which we expect will last from July – October. Approximately 1000 lambs are to be hand reared in our purpose-built lamb rearing sheds. The days can be long but the environment is fun, supportive and there is plenty of scope to lgain in this new industry. Requirements: • Physically fit – involves heavy lifting • Attention to detail • Empathy for livestock • High standard of personal and operational hygiene • Confident communicator • Good work ethic • Patient • Reliable and punctual • Strong written expertise • Comfortable with technology and computers You will be working a 6 on 1 off shift roster. Shifts range between the hours of 5:30am – 10pm. You will need to commit yourself to being able to work from early/mid-July until October. Shared accommodation is available with this job.
