Stores, Dispatch & Production WorkerLocation WellingtonNew Zealand Job type Temporary Salary 24 to 24 Category Transport, Shipping, Logistics > Warehouse & Distribution » 06:30am - 15;00 am » 14:45pm - 23:15pm » 10:00am - 18:30pm Seeking Stores, Dispatch & Production workers based in Wellington get paid $21-24 p/h, ongoing work, full time, offering a variety of shifts. For this role you need: » Maintain a clean and tidy Dispatch Area and Stores. » Re-arrange glass on trolleys as necessary to limit the number of trolleys in the Dispatch Area. » Dispose of rejected glass in a timely fashion. » Assist with receiving inwards goods for the department by inspecting goods, clearly labeling packages, and storing them in the correct area. » Attend to any documentation related to the above. » Make suggestions related to improving the organization of the department. » Report any product quality issues that may arise. » Dispatch Areas and Stores are clean and tidy. » Glass and hardware for customers and glazing jobs are easy to locate. » Minimal trolleys in the Dispatch Area, to have no trolleys in the Dock. » Coordinate site deliveries » Drive a motor vehicle used for the transport of glass and glazing products. PERSON SPECIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS (or equivalent level of learning) » Appropriate class full clean driver's license for trade vehicle » Current site safety certification - or ability to attain without delay KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE » Ability to use hand tools » Thorough knowledge of Metro's products and services » Previous experience in handling glass is essential PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES » Customer service focus and the ability to build long term customer relationships » Team player and flexible approach » Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills » Good communication skills » Initiative and proactive approach » Willingness to learn » Ability to cope under pressure » Problem-solving, decision making » Creativity and innovation Ability to pass drug tests essential due to pre-employment requirements and random drug tests throughout shut.
