With a significant collection of New Zealand and international art, as well as dynamic programmes of exhibitions, events and outreach activities, we are the home of art for Auckland, its people, and visitors. The Gallery now seeks a talented and practiced graphic designer to provide in-house creative support in a function that brings both variety and challenge.As the Gallery'sSenior Graphic Designer, you'llcombine creative spark with people expertise to deliver high-quality and compelling materials that extend our visual identity across new and existing materials. You'll be creating visual identities for exhibitions, delivering designs for marketing collateral and advertising campaigns, and supporting the entire Gallery with its graphic needs from wayfinding signage to resources for schools. You'll work quickly and accurately across multiple projects, and thrive in a busy, ever-changing environment. As our Senior Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for: » Developing and delivering high-quality creative responses that meet the needs of internal clients and our audiences » Supporting the marketing, exhibition design, visitor practice, curatorial and learning programmes teams to deliver compelling communications across varied media » Working within and beyond our existing design standards - you'll know when to keep to the rules and when to break them. He k?rero m?u: About you To secure this function, you will demonstrate: » Five or more years' graphic design practice working at an intermediate-senior level within a busy, deadline-driven environment » practice in designing from creative concept to final delivery for a wide variety of on- and offline media » Advanced creative abilities with a strong and sensitive eye for contemporary design aesthetic » practice working within the parameters of a strong brand identity, as well as under the freedom of your own creative direction. By nature, you are friendly and outgoing with a professional approach that inspires confidence. You are resilient and happy working with ambiguity in a high-pressure environment. Visually literate, you have sensitivity for the broad creative and cultural spheres, as well as an capability to present your ideas and lead on design matters with authority. With an excellent work ethic, you are used to juggling priorities and delivering on deadline.
