To support us in achieving our goals We are seeking for an practiced manager to lead our Strategy Department within the Strategy and Democracy Group.The position of Manager – Strategy provides leadership abilities to the team that is responsible for strategic planning; corporate planning; spatial planning and connected research; monitoring and analysis. The team are tasked with developing user-friendly, short, medium and long-term strategies that guide and provide the framework for every day work within Council. The candidate prosperous in securing this function will be able to tap into new trends, legislation and policy and inform elected members and senior management of their impact on Council. To be considered for this opportunity you will also have proven capability to build strong working relationships across organisations, you will understand and use team located processes to accomplish goals and have the capability to influence others to ensure that strategies and plans are implemented. Your effective facilitation and mediation expertise will effectively broker between the governance and operational functions of Council while performing as a member of the operational leadership abilities team and where appropriate representing Council on external groups.
