Archives New Zealand - Te Rua Mahara o te K?wanatanga work to ensure effective, trusted government information for the benefit of all New Zealanders. They preserve and protect more than seven million official records, from 19th century treaties to 21st century documents and data. Their goal is for all New Zealanders to easily access and use this taonga, connecting us to our rights and entitlements and stories - now and for the future. You'll provide thought leadership abilities and direct policy and services to deliver on Archives New Zealand's commitments and obligations to M?ori. The work of this function will contribute to an uplift in Archives New Zealand capcapability and to the wider archives sector to build closer partnerships with M?ori. You will work closely with the Kaihaut?, National Library, He Tohu partners group, Te Komiti M?ori, the Kaitohutohu Matua Principal Advisor(s) and Iwi/M?ori to achieve mutual aims and strengthen partnerships with M?ori. We are searching for a proven leader with the credibility and capcapability to foster, create and maintain relationships of trust with iwi / M?ori across the country, including those located on Treaty settlements: Whakaaetanga Tiaki Taonga. You'll have excellent facilitation expertise and the capability to bring together, and get results from a broad range of staff. You will have broad and deep practice of Te Ao M?ori, including fluency in Te Reo M?ori and leadership abilities in tikanga and substantial expertise of information management frameworks including digital information management.
