Mo tenei turanga – About this function
The Online Content Advisor supports the Te Pou Hanganga, Matihiko – Infrastructure and Digital Engagement team in the development and uploading of interesting and appealing online content. This includes both internal and external channels, for example the Ministry’s website and intranet. this function is actively involved in the planning, researching, writing, reviewing, and uploading of content to online channels as well as organising online information architecture. The function will Maintain a close working relationship with the Content and Digital team in Te Pou Rangatopu – Corporate group.
The Online Content Advisor:
   » Work alongside subject matter experts to coordinate and deliver online content projects
   » Support the business to engage with their stakeholders through interesting and appealing online content
   » Monitor and report on online analytics using insights to improve content
   » Ensure compliance with all Ministry of Education and government guidelines and significant legislation (i.e. plain language, copyright law, accessibility requirements)

income range
$67,000 – $83,000 per annum plus 3% Kiwisaver. The prosperous candidate will be appointed at a income which reflects individual skills and practice.

You will also offer the following:
   » practice building relationships and partnerships to achieve shared results
   » A broad knowledge of copyright laws and accessibility guidelines
   » practice working well under pressure with tight deadlines
   » Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a availability to gain an knowledge of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori. You will also have knowledge of, or a availability to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi as Information technology applies in the public sector.
You will also demonstrate the following:
   » capability to alter communications style to reflect different audiences, including in plain language
   » capability to use data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities
   » knowledge of online content management and the systems and processes that develop and support the web architecture
   » knowledge of how websites and other web-located applications work, including knowledge of HTML, Java, responsive design and the common web platform (CWP, a.k.a Silverstripe)

At Te Tahuhu o te Matauranga, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to akonga and whanau. To better deliver on this, we are currently undergoing an organisational design change. The transition phase to improve the way we deliver our purpose will be complete in 2023.
