You will be involved at every stage of development, from requirements gathering to final validation and stakeholder approval of features, and will proactively identify ways of improving processes and tools.Ideally you will have 5+ years of software development practice, preferably within a team environment. To summarise, you will have most, or all, of the following expertise: » Good communication expertise » Problem solving and debugging » Embedded Linux development » Modern C++ (and good knowledge of C/C++ projects) » Scripting languages such as Python, Lua, Bash » Modern version control systems » CI/CD processes and build/test automation tools (GitLand, CI, Jenkins) » Aware of the legal aspects oof software development, particularly Open Source licensing If you are the type of Software Engineer who prefers to have a say on how things are designed under the hood and enjoy contributing through all phases of a project, this is the function for you.
