This leadership abilities function will support the Group Manager Strategy, and will be working alongside the Transition Unit in DPMC to drive the changes needed to deliver improved health and discapability system results, making connections across the system and ensuring your team is working on the right things to prosperously deliver the Ministry's part of the Health Reform programme of work. We're looking for a thoughtful, bold and adaptable leader who: » is prosperous in tackling complex policy and strategy problems, bringing strong analytical capabilities and intellect to provide robust advice at pace » demonstrated practice in bringing a Te Tiriti and equity of results approach to all areas of work including the continuing development of staff capcapability in this area » lead effectively, bringing a team with them, setting clear goals and setting a benchmark for policy excellence » is comfortable at the political interface » works readily and collaboratively with stakeholders, agencies and with diverse communities » has a strategic outlook that also considers implementation challenges » understand the complex, sensitive and at times ambiguous nature of policy work » is interested to innovate in how our health and discapability system can tackle critical challenges both now for the future whilst delivering equitable health results. practice in the health and discapability system is an advantage, but Information technology is more important that you have the right expertise to lead our people.
