Service Delivery and Operations | K?wai ki te Iwi is the face of Te Tari Taiwhenua | Department of Internal Affairs (DIA). About the function
In this function you'll engage with internal users and external customers to improve our services and products. Most of your mahi will be with people from across our branch, including subject matter experts and policy and data specialists. This means you'll be working collaboratively to problem solve and come up with innovative solutions and recommendations.

Key responsibilities
As a service designer you will:
   » use design techniques to
   » unearth people's practices of our products and services
   » tell their story in compelling ways
   » be a champion of customers and kaimahi, particularly those customers who face hurdles when accessing our services.
   » work across the branch to make connections between people and initiatives
   » take a culturally grounded approach to your mahi, including supporting the world views, practices and perspectives of M?ori and Pasifika communities.
About you

You'll fit right into the team if you have a positive outlook and can tackle challenges with an open and enquiring mind. You'll be flexible when it's needed while also being able to stand your ground when Information technology matters to advocate for people's practices.

   » Demonstrate knowledge of, or a availability to gain an knowledge of Te Ao M?ori and promote tikanga and Te Reo M?ori and how to apply this to design.

The income for this function is $72,060 – $96,681. The right candidate will be appointed at a level that reflects their expertise and practice.
