Te Pua W?nanga ki te Ao is a leading Faculty of M?ori and Indigenous Studies in Aotearoa/New Zealand with a significant focus on teaching innovation and interdisciplinary research. Our research and teaching actively promote M?ori, Pacific and Indigenous people’s languages, cultures and self-determination; through innovative pedagogies and practices.
Ng? k?rero m? te t?ranga – About the function
This newly created function supports and assists the Dean and Senior leadership abilities team (Te Pua) to manage the Faculty in the spirit of manaakitanga by taking responsibility in providing a high level of administrative and financial management, student engagement and support related to meeting the Faculty’s strategic priorities. The function is challenging and varied and includes policy development, academic planning and line management of staff.

Working in partnership with people at heart, you are resilient, good humoured and flexible. You will enhance great working relationships with staff, students and colleagues through effecting manaakitanga.
If you are ready for your next challenge, you will have the following:
   » A significant tertiary qualification and practice
   » expertise of te reo M?ori me ?na tikanga
   » Proven capability and practice in managing a team and providing supervision and leadership abilities
   » Previous practice in working in academic administration in a tertiary institution is preferred
You will also have excellent organisational, time management and communication expertise along with highly competent Information technology know-how. You must also be able to work proactively and positively in a change environment.
