We are seeking for an practiced Programme & Outreach Coordinator to join this unique community arts facility located in a stunning Ponsonby heritage building. The facility offers a wide variety of activities including gallery exhibitions, pop-up events, creative classes and workshops for all ages, plus studio hire for artists and venue hire for commercial and community use.
Studio One Toi T? is seeking a proactive individual, who can create opportunities and partnerships with the local creative community and coordinate an engaging programme of courses and events.
The purpose of this function is to curate an annual programme of creative courses, workshops and one-off events that will engage our diverse audiences and support local creatives in T?maki Makarau. The function is responsible for managing key stakeholder relationships with tutors and programme providers, promoting activities through Studio One Toi T? social media platforms and identifying outreach and community engagement opportunities, including liaising with local schools and businesses. this function works within a small, dedicated team to deliver an exciting annual programme of exhibitions and events that make an impact on the community.

Studio One Toi T? requires Somebody with excellent communication expertise who can work independently and someone who works effectively within a small team.
It goes without saying that you'll have knowledge and passion for the arts and what Information technology brings to a community and your capability to work with a creative community and achieve deadlines will play a big part in your success in this function.
The person We are seeking for will have:
   » Proven practice in prosperously delivering arts and culture initiatives in diverse communities.
   » Excellent written and verbal communication expertise and capability to work with a range of stakeholders
   » Excellent time management and organisational expertise and capability to work to multiple deadlines and conflicting priorities
   » A connection to the local community and a desire to increase engagement and outreach opportunities
   » Knowledge of the purpose of visual arts in community cultural development
   » practice in social media promotion and content creation advantageous
   » knowledge of the importance of relationships with M?ori in T?maki Makaurau and are committed to the recognition of te ao M?ori in this function.
   » Ideally you can pronounce and use basic te reo M?ori in emails, meetings and conversations

This is a permanent part-time position, working flexibly during the week but covering Saturdays. Ideal schedule Wednesday - Saturday. Occasional requirement to work evening and Sunday.
