Job Opportunity: Lecturer – Initial Teacher Education (Early Childhood Education):Maori Pacific JobsJob description:Job DescriptionThe School of Education Te Kura M?tauranga in the Faculty of Culture and Society, Auckland University of Technology, is a leading provider of education programmes at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.We are pursuing applications for one position, mainly teaching into the Bachelor of Education (ECE) programme. candidates should have appropriate professional practice and skills in early childhood education. The prosperous applicant will demonstrate a availability and capability to implement Te Wh?riki in keeping with a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Current teacher registration with the New Zealand Teaching Council is a requirement. The prosperous applicant will be expected to visit and assess student teachers on practicum practices. This is a Fixed Term Position for one year to support the delivery of School of Education B.Ed Early Childhood programmes from the North Shore and South campuses, including a core B.Ed language and culture course. candidates may have either a Masters’ or doctoral degree, may be research-active, and willing to make a contribution to the academic community of the School of Education. Previous ITE practice and the capability to contribute to leading student-teacher practicum practices will be an advantage. The function commences on 1 February 2022.
