Project AccountantJob location:Wellington Wellington Central Work Type: Permanent » » » »Permanent Opportunity »Popular Organization »CBD Location About the function The function focuses on delivering effective customer service, financial planning, evaluating financial performance and providing insight, improving financial controls and transactions, developing financial capcapability of the project community, and assisting the Finance Manager to develop consolidated project financial information. tasks • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the project and investment leadership abilities community. • Influence managers to make good investment choices in line with organisation strategy. • Ensure the investment planning and budgeting process approach is consistent and information requirements are met • Provide financial advice and analysis for new projects, budget initiatives, contract renewals or existing services • Ensure appropriate investment structures are in place e.g. portfolio, programme and project views. expertise & practice • A CAANZ, CIMA or CPA qualification • practice working in a PMO or project • practice working in medium to large organisation, and with non-financial people using a partnering approach. • A good knowledge of public sector financial management frameworks, processes and systems.
